In September, new students across the country experienced various tough journeys all the way to Houston International College and congregated by the name of DMU,This is a new starting point to build the dream.

What is the difference in the welcoming of HII?
Our team of volunteers has members of national flag guards. With the support of the department of student affairs, ten national flag guards became the backbone of the whole volunteering team. Wearing a clean and tidy uniform, with a firm and rigorous mental outlook, they set up a good image for the new classmates on the first day of meeting.
Our volunteer team also included old friends from the fellow college. Due to the college’s first year of enrollment, there were no senior students internally to guide the new students, but we received kind help from many old friends, for the likes of the Navigation College, College of Transportation Engineering, the School of Maritime Economics and Management, the Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering College, and outstanding classmates from the Law School.
The two-day schedule is not enough to say thank you to each member of the volunteer team. Two days are so long that people are not able to tell whether the drops on your forehead are sweat or the rain. At this moment, College of International Collaboration (Houston International Institute) would like to extend sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who has made selfless dedication, and also invite all volunteers to visit the HII around the National Day (the invitation letter will be sent out once confirmed), we would like to express gratitude in person.

The welcoming of new students to this institute is unique.
It has to be mentioned that our welcome baton was handed to the new students of the class 2020 of Houston International Institute by the kind seniors. Students who have completed the registration procedures previously will automatically check their academic qualifications and promptly join the school's welcome team to guide the newcomers.
The students who arrived at the dormitory and arranged their luggage earlier came to the bustling North Gate and took the initiative to welcome the students upon arrival. They helped to bring all sorts of suitcases for students. The burden they take is not merely the weight from suitcases but warm friendship on this special occasion.

The instructor said to us, “University is a place to learn skills, enrich yourself, and reach the ultimate standard”; the HII told us: “start here, go anywhere. ”; the university told us: “Although the burden is heavy, you should honour the time and make your own way.”
The road is down the foot, the opportunity is coming. Live your dream and dream your life.
Look, the day is bright and the eagle is aiming to rush towards the sky, and we have met better ourselves.
