In order to obtain the successful experience from other Sino-foreign cooperatively-run institutes and fully pursue the development from our side, the delegate group from CIC went to the BDIC for communication and research on 14th July. The group was made up of Jinlei Zhang, the dean of the CIC, Guang Shao, secretary of CPC committee and deputy dean, Jiantong He, the deputy dean and one administrative member of the CIC. The secretary of CPC committee and the dean of BDIC, Wenying Wu, along with the deputy dean of BDIC, Enchang Sun and the staffs in administrative office and in student administration office attend the conference with CIC group.
At the very beginning, Wenying Wu expressed her sincere welcome to our research group and had a brief overview about the situation over the BDIC. She also illustrated that the BDIC aimed to the cultivation on the talented students who have “International View, Chinese Spirit, The Emotion on The Capital, Good Learner of English and Chinese, Understanding of Diverse Culture and with Quality International Competitiveness”. At the same time, Wenying Wu put an emphasis on the vital part about the BDIC, such as Teaching Operation, Quality Sustainability, Revolution over Lingual Course etc.
Jinlei Zhang expressed her sincere gratitude to the BDIC for their warm reception. After that, she highlighted the background and recent progress of our Huston International Institute. She also stressed that the BDIC had got so much experience among Sino-foreign cooperatively-run institutes and had remarkable characteristics, along with outstanding achievements in personnel training. She hoped that more opportunities could be provided to acquire the experience of BDIC.
During the meeting, both parties made in-depth discussions and exchanges on the work of CPC construction, student management, financial system operation, construction of personnel and teaching evaluation. After that, the research team also paid a visit to the BDIC’s administrative office, teaching places, special cultural display of graduation season etc.
Through this research, CIC learned the advanced experience, school-running model and management system as a Sino-foreign cooperatively-run institute. We would build consensus, complement each other's advantages, further consolidate the student-centered concept, strengthen the integration and cooperation mechanism of the school, and promote the development of the Sino-foreign cooperatively-run institute with high-quality, brand-new models and better methods as well.
