
On the morning of July 7th, Huston International Institute held a college-level mechanism meeting joined by administrative teams of DMU and UH. Due to the pandemic, the meeting was held online. Zhang Jinlei, dean of Houston International Institute, Shao Guang, secretary of CPC committee and deputy dean, He Jiantong, deputy dean, Roberto Ballarini, dean from the UH’s side, Alejandrina Campanella, deputy dean from the UH’s side, and all faculty and staff of the college attended the meeting. And the meeting was co-hosted by Zhang Jinlei and Roberto Ballarini. Roberto Ballarini firstly introduced the recent key work from their side and the personnel of the UH team. He focused on the academic background, working experience and scope of work of the newly-appointed deputy dean Alejandrina Campanella. And she briefed on the job to be carried out afterwards.
Zhang Jinlei standed for the DMU to welcome the new member of the UH team. She expressed, ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the international communication and the higher education were all in the face of serious challenge, both universities closed ranks and advanced together, came through the challenges. And 2 universities carried out an all-around, heigh-level cooperation in a deeper, wider field and greater manner. This made the institute’s academic development more anticipated.
After that, the group members of both sides had a warm and friendly communication, and made a conversation on the academic affairs.
This meeting had enhanced the working systems of both sides, which marked the cooperatively-run institute by both sides had taken a huge step to improving the quality and efficiency. It also made a excellent foundation for the cooperative research, globalised collaborative management and all-round training of the talents.
