In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the "Notice from the National Leading Group Office of sunshine sports for students across the nation to carry out long-range running activities in winter", galvanise sports culture on campus, enhance students' awareness of physical fitness and enrich campus cultural life, on the afternoon of 27th November, Dalian Maritime University successfully held the winter long-range rally racing. The students of Huston International Institute proactively participated in this vibrant rally.

A Marvelous Contest
With high spirit, the competition featured full of youthfulness on the track. It was just as the saying goes, “masters in civil”. "Bang!" A gunshot opened the curtain of the winter cross-country relay race. The athletes were dashing forward like arrows. The first leg of the Houston International Institute's was so powerful that they stayed in the front position, laying a good foundation for the following athletes. They also had a brilliant performance and demonstrated the iconic style of our international institute!
The students galloped on the track like arrows, fighting for the glory of their college. They also proved themselves and showed the unique vitality of HII’s students.
Sweat, cheers and passion around the track ignited the heart of every HII’s students, fantastic results were the best gift in winter! This winter would not be cold any longer.

Students who make contributions to the institute are listed as follows,
Male Athletes:
Cui Yuexin, Li zhenchen, Wang Yibo, Li Huicheng, Qin Mingyang, Ren hang, Li Guanting, Li Yixuan, Gao Sen, Ren Jun and Qiu YingZhuo;
Female Athletes:
Cao Tianying, Lu Shan, Gan Linlin, Sheng Nan, Wang He, Yang Mingzhu, Liu Xinran, Cheng Xiaoran, and Zhao Yinan.
In the meantime, there were many enthusiastic students as cheerleaders to encourage the runner as well. Student union, Youth League Committee of the institute and various squadron cadres are also take part in the build-up of this competition.
A Tremendous Victory
Across all the teams, the athletes of HII were not afraid of the strong rivals and striving for success. Finally, the male team ranked 12th with the female team at 8th place.
Life would be more magnificent because of taking exercises, youthfulness would be more valuable down to perseverance!
In retrospect, the athletes of Huston International Institute enlightened hope with passions and succeeded with ambitions! Looking towards the future, we will spare no efforts to inspire the dream and fight bravely to sharpen the edge! Start from here, go anywhere!
